About Cassandra
Kessler

Cassandra Kessler LOVES music, “A day does not go
by when I am not listening to some form of music. I also enjoy talking about
music to people, whether I’m discussing a song from the 1950’s or something
that was just released yesterday!” It is only natural that Cass (as friends
call her) would want to work around music and people that love it as much as
she does. Cass relates “I grew up in a house and environment where music was
being played on the radio, or on vinyl all of the time. I can remember
singing along with my mom’s Brenda Lee record on a daily basis. I also
listened to a lot of country music… At age thirteen I discovered the
Beatles, which changed everything for me! I could not get enough of their
music and I instantly fell in love with rock “n” roll, which I still am
crazy about, as well as country, folk, and many other styles.”
Cass began her computer training before she was a teenager.
Just as the Internet began to take off, she started learning about and
working on websites several years ago, while she was training for a job in
the medical field. She enjoyed the creative processes and challenges that
website creation brought to her, and decided that it was something she
wanted to do full time. After completing her medical course, she devoted
her time to web design and songwriting (something that she has worked on
since age ten). Through the internet Cass met other music lovers, as well
as radio industry and music business professionals. Her interest in oldies
bands led her to develop fan sites for The Yellow Balloon and the Beau
Brummels, two bands that Cass says one rarely hears of anymore. She was
completely committed to making sure that their fans had an outlet to find
these bands again, and to get back in touch with their music. She was
overwhelmed by the response from the fans. “It was just amazing! They were
so happy to again have an outlet to read about their favorite band, view
photos, share stories from shows back in the day. It felt great to be able
to help them get back in touch with the music again.” From her own personal
website she created a one page site for 60’s singer Keith, which developed
into the launch of Keith’s official website in 2001. The site has attracted
thousands of fans from all over the world. Cass stayed in constant
communication with Keith’s fans, ensuring they also had access to Keith
through the website. She also played an instrumental role in arranging and
setting up many radio interviews with Keith, and continues to work as
Director of Fan Relations and Web Queen. Earlier this year Cass organized
the collection of fan mail for Cynthia Lennon who penned a book, “John”
about her late husband, the Beatle.
Cass has extended her knowledge in the fan area. In 2001 she
joined the Nelson Street Team, in which she has had extensive communications
with fans on-line and at shows.
Because of her enjoyment in
working with musicians and their fans, along with encouragement from friends
and colleagues, she decided to start Cassasong Promotions in 2006. Through
Cassasong Promotions, Cass hopes to work with both artists that are trying
to break into the music business and established musicians who are looking
to: increase music sales; create a larger fan base; and a unique online
presence. Cass believes that every musician can be a success if they work
hard enough and stay determined. She is willing to work diligently for each
client that signs with Cassasong Promotions, and in return she hopes that
each musician will have their chance at the big time.
Currently,
Cass is majoring in the study of web design. While she hopes to stay active
in design, she plans to incorporate it into the music field, which she says
will remain her main priority “It is important for me to be around music and
help other people to have that experience also. I believe that you should
always do something that you love. If you love to sing, but can’t, choose a
career that will bring you closer to that dream.” Aside from business, Cass
loves songwriting, traveling and photography, and is in the process of
developing her own internet cooking show.
